Check out my blog posts under the “Blog” tab!
Welcome and thanks for joining me on this journey!
My hope for this blog is to use it as a way to better love people. There is a saying that has stuck with me, which is “seek Jesus and love radically”. Those words have made me truly think about who I am and who I want to be. That last part, “love radically,” really tugged on my heart in so many situations I’ve found myself in. I have tried to live that out to the best of my ability. But what does it look like to love radically? For that I looked to Jesus. What did He do and how did He do it? Well the biggest answer is He went to the cross. That is the heart of the gospel, which meant I’d heard and read about it for a while, but it never had the same meaning until I started digging into it more. I looked at the examples and ways He treated people during His ministry and how He loves us now. “Do your best to live a Christ-like life,” was the advice I was given. This led me to discover how passionate I am about the gospel and what it means for our lives.
So I should probably explain the name I’ve chosen for this space. “Found in Wandering” seemed like an appropriate description of my life. I’ve been all over the place and had never felt settled anywhere before. That, plus my love of traveling, has led me to feel like I have a “wandering heart”. Typically when I ask what people think of the word “wandering” I get responses like lost, looking for something, or drifting. Contrary to popular belief, I’ve learned that wandering is a huge part of life for everyone. We all wander searching for our passions and purposes. In wandering, we learn who we are. We learn our true identity. Though it may not always feel like, we are never lost. In Christ we are always found. We are never without a loving friend that is guiding us exactly where we need to go. I think of the image of a child who is just learning to walk, led hands first holding onto a loving parent while being guided forward. We may fall, try to change direction, or even decide we’re too tired to keep walking but those loving hands are still there waiting to help us get back up and keep going. So as for the title, I have been found through my wandering and I’m so incredibly thankful.
I hope that through this blog I can share what is on my heart and learn to love radically in a new way. Please share your thoughts with me. I would love to know what is on your heart!
Love,
Paige Riley
